Working Groups
ASAPA working groups allow members to work on specific topics involving their own interests. This year ASAPA has chosen three primary topics to have events focused on: (1) Women's Empowerment, (2) Inter-religious unity, and (3) Environmental Justice. A council member heads each work group, with a new member as chair. Other council members serve as helpers to the specific cause. The main purpose of the work group is to allow members to join in and create events for these primary topics for ASAPA. For mroe information, look over the specific work group you are interested and contact the council member leading the group.

It is a holistic effort to analyze and overcome the power structures that have traditionally thwarted environmental reforms. The mission of the group is to promote regional co-operation in South Asia in the field of environment, both natural and human in the context of sustainable development and on issues of economic and social development which also impinge on the environment and vice versa
